Wonderfully Made

I am so thrilled to be able to share some exciting news with all of you. I am now the Director of Marketing for the non-profit organization Wonderfully Made!

As I've said before on Anne the Adventurer, I am very passionate about helping young women on their journey to overcome body image issues and eating disorders. These challenges and diseases can be serious and life-threatening, and in our day and age, it is becoming harder to recognize or be honest about our struggles as women. Our culture loves to tell us all the things that are wrong with us that need to be fixed. It is exhausting!

A few years ago, while on my cycling trip, I met Allie Marie Smith, the founder of a non-profit organization called Wonderfully Made (WM). WM seeks to empower young women to acknowledge and own their self-worth. As Christians, God tells us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made by him, and Allie's mission is to spread this news like wildfire. Through the blog Know Your Value, college chapters in California, resources, and conferences, Wonderfully Made is challenging us and encouraging us to believe that we are of value in this world!

I have been a contributor for WM for several months, and recently, Allie asked me to become the managing editor of the blog! I will be also assisting them with marketing, design, and social media. It is so exciting to use my writing skills to help in this cause, and now I feel like I have even more opportunity to use my talents and skills to affect positive change.
