It has been remarkably warm here in Colorado lately. We've been getting up into the 70's and it's been amazing!
That doesn't bode well for powder days, though. As the ski season has been dwindling down, I realized I needed to get up to the slopes to accomplish my "Ski a powder day" goal on my 25 before 25 list.
We got all packed up and trekked our way up to Breckenridge. When we got up to Peak 8, I was shocked.
"It's slushy," I said to Spencer.
He laughed.
"But it's March."
He reminded me that it was 60 degrees.
"But we live in Colorado."
There was no turning back, despite my expectation that it would be a chilly 35-degree day with powder and wonderfully blue skies. There were blue skies, but it was so warm we didn't even need gloves, and I was way too hot in my jacket.
Now, I'm a new skier. I rode a snowboard through high school so I could buddy up with the cute boys, but it was way too intense for me when I got honest with myself. We captured some video but just remember, I am no pro.
It was fun! On to the next one!
